Heat Pump Installation: an ecological, economical, and sustainable heating solution

Heat pump

The heat pump is today one of the most effective and sustainable solutions for heating a home. It extracts heat from the air, water, or ground to distribute it indoors, with very favorable energy efficiency. Economical to use, environmentally friendly, and eligible for energy grants, the heat pump is becoming essential in energy renovation projects in Belgium.

At Avenir Rénovations, we assist you in the study, installation, and monitoring of your heat pump system, tailored to your home and needs. Our expertise guarantees you a reliable, efficient installation that is eligible for public aid.

What are the benefits of a heat pump for your home?

Many Belgian households today wish to free themselves from fossil fuels while improving their thermal comfort.

Outdated heating systems

Old gas or oil boilers are still widely present in homes. Inefficient and polluting, they lead to high consumption and a poor energy performance certificate (EPC) score. Their maintenance costs are also on the rise.

Replacing an aging boiler with a heat pump not only reduces CO₂ emissions but also enhances the value of your property.

A search for more ecological solutions

In the face of climate challenges and rising energy prices, the heat pump is a clean and renewable alternative that uses naturally available resources.

It fits perfectly into an energy transition approach and contributes to the energy independence of households.

Poorly controlled thermal comfort

Conventional systems often lead to temperature fluctuations, unresponsive heating, and poor regulation. The heat pump provides consistent comfort, summer and winter, especially in reversible mode.

Thanks to intelligent controls, the indoor temperature remains stable without unpleasant variations.

FAQ – heat pump in Belgium

Does a heat pump work in cold weather?

Yes. The latest generation air/water models can operate down to -15°C, sometimes -20°C. Efficiency is slightly reduced in extreme cold, but remains significantly higher than that of an electric boiler. For the coldest regions, a geothermal or hybrid heat pump can be considered.

We also offer supplementary heating options to maximize comfort in extreme cold.

How much energy can I save with a heat pump?

A heat pump consumes up to 3 times less energy than a conventional electric heater. Its average coefficient of performance (COP) is between 3 and 4: this means it delivers 3 to 4 kWh of heat for every 1 kWh of electricity consumed.

On an annual bill, this represents several hundred euros in savings while enhancing your property value.

Can a heat pump completely replace a boiler?

Yes, provided the home is sufficiently insulated and the heat emission system (radiators or underfloor heating) is compatible with a lower operating temperature.

In some cases, a hybrid heat pump (combined with an existing boiler) is an interesting transitional solution to maximize flexibility.

Is the installation noisy?

Recent models are very quiet. The noise inside is almost negligible, and the outdoor unit rarely exceeds 40-45 dB during normal operation, which is equivalent to a running dishwasher.

We carefully study the location to minimize any noise disturbance to your home and your neighbors.
